Since March is a five week month, I will be starting the next Page Turners on Thursday, March 28th (why not Friday? - unfortunately, there is no school that day).
I will be selecting two books for the next Page Turners (why? - the two books are 200 pages or less). Your child may join both books or either one.
Since next month is non-fiction month, I have hand-selected two high-interest, high-level non-fiction books.
Starting Thursday, March 28th will be Lincoln's Grave Robbers by Steve Sheinkin.
Packed with action and suspense, this page-turning narrative nonfiction chronicles the nearly unknown tale of the brazen attempt to steal Abraham Lincoln's body!
Then, starting on Friday, April 19th will be Blizzard of Glass: The Halifax Explosion of 1917 by Sally M. Walker.
This remarkable photo-filled book chronicles a shocking but little-known disaster that flattened two towns, killed thousands, and tested the courage of a community like nothing else before!
All orders must be submitted no later than Tuesday, March 19th for both books.
